Hi i am looking at a boat and was wondering what the value of it. It is a 14 foot Mirrocraft with a 15 h.p. force motor. Both are in great shape. It has a bilge pump. The owner re-did the inside. It 3 has benches with cushion chairs. Thanks

i am thinking of getting rid of my dresser because i dont use it and putting a chair there instead but im not sure of what color. my walls are bright green with blue splatter but i dont want blue or green because my bed spread is blue with green and white hawaiin flowers (website of pictures are below) or i can reverse it to multi color stripes (also below). my desk and bedside table are white. i also a window seat that has cushions on it that are white with different colored polka dots (also below) and a quilt on my bed (also below). what color chair should i get to go next to my bed? i was thinking one of those round dorm chairs. if u could send pics thanks!

we have plastic patio furniture (table & chairs) in our dining room lol
i think its cool especially since we live on the 3rd floor its easier to get up and down the flights of stairs

but is that considered ghetto?

I want to entirely paint a Sofa and Wingback…….. and im scared lol !!!….?
Ok…. I have a old Sofa and matching chairs. I"ve recently had a large patio cover installed over the rear of my house and would like to use the furniture…… and make it like a living room in the backyard… I’m thinking of painting the sofa and chairs and would like to use a paint that will make the furniture somewhat weatherproof as well….. The furniture will be under the very large patio cover….. so it will not be rained on at all, but will be exposed to humidity, condensation, …… and pool water on the tushy..lol Sooo…. Is there a paint that i can use to paint the sofa and chairs entirely …. something that would give the furniture a waterproofing….rubber like coating?? thus changing indoor furniture …. to outdoor furniture…..

Someone gave me a couch and loveseat, they bought new ones. The couch had bad springs, but I put a board under the cushions and its perfect. The chairs look brand new, but the previous owners were cigarette smokers.

I’ve tried febreeze, but the smell is still there. Its not too bad but its noticeable.

Has anyone tried steam cleaning or other products with success?

I recently found a Cherry Wood Dining room table and 6 chairs.
The table is 20 years old. It is real wood and the surface seems to have a clear shinny coat on top. The chairs are all in tack and have upholstery cushions that need cleaning. There is a leaf that comes with the table. There are a few scratches and nicks on the side and the chair legs and surface scratches on the top.
It belonged to a couple that is 83 and the daughter had it in storage.
I am thinking of buying it but want to make sure it will be a good investment.
She is asking 0.00
The table looks antique and in decent condition. Do you think I can sand down the few scratches and put like a wood color pen from Lowes to touch it up? What about the surface how would I get out the scratches on the top? It has a clear coat?
If I do buy this how would I protect it?

I was just about to order the linens for our wedding and I just want to double check others opinions about this. My fiance and I have chosen a purple color for our wedding, as the room (that you can see below) is very gold. The overlay has little bits of gold on it, and we saw it set up yesterday for us, it looks lovely on the example table.
Its a large room and will only have 12 tables of guests, one sweetheart table, and cake table but I can’t help but feel that maybe it could be a little overwhelming.

Overlay and chair covers. Its actually not as gold as it looks on the photo. Mostly clear beading with a little gold.

Actually the only reason we choose such a dark color is because the room looks so big because it is so full of light, high ceilings, and bright colors.

I am just afraid the purple might be too outlandish of a color.

The chairs at the reception hall are decent. there wooden with goldish cushioning. But i was looking through linen rental websites and the covering for the chairs were so pretty. I have 210 guest, and its about per chair and for the bow. Also, do they come and put the linens on for you? and do they pick them up or do you have to drop them off.

I know from reading online that there are not many people fond of gravel paths and patios, however, my husband and I are looking for a cost effective project that we can do ourselves.

We are planning to add rock bordered flower beds to the front of our house and would like to parallel the bed with a gravel path (also bordered with rock) leading to a small circular gravel patio. We would like to place a few planters and some furniture (maybe just a fire pit and some chairs or a swing) on the patio. It would not be used everyday (and only May through September), but I’m dying to have a place where I can sit outside with friends on occasion.

My concerns are, aside from functionality, do gravel patios look nice? Are they easy to maintain? We live in an area with A LOT of rain and snow, could that pose a problem?

Right now we only have grass and were planning to pull up the sod, lay a weed cloth, and edge it so that the gravel would be less likely to "roam". We don’t want to use concrete in case we change our minds a few years down the road!
