My cat peed in one of those egg chairs and I dont know how to get rid of the smell. Any advice? I cant wash the cushion and I already tried to spray a ton of urine eliminator spray and i soaked it with water and nothing has worked. help!

We bought patio furniture a while back, and it’s made of all aluminum, which is great bc after several years, there’s not a spot of rust. We love it. We got the gazebo that went w/it, but it was bamboo, and after several rainy/humid summers, it disintegrated.
Now, we found another gazebo that matches our chairs, but it’s made from "powder-coated rust-resistant steel." We know this stuff will likely still rust, even though it’s "resistant" to it, because we’ve seen it happen w/neighbor’s/family’s stuff etc.

Is there anything you can do to it to prevent it from rusting? We hate to spend the $ on something that’s going to rust out in 2-3 years.

Any opinions of that Rustoleum stuff? My inlaws used it but their patio furniture still rusted apart. I don’t know what to do. Is there some kind of oil protectant or something to rub on it periodically? Any experience with powder-coated steel patio furniture?

My chairs are round but I don’t care if the cushions are square. The ones at wal mart are sort of expensive and I have not found any at other stores. Is there a simple way for a not so creative person to make seat cushions? I would appreciate any tips/ideas/suggestions! Thanks!

The dining room table has a clear glass top, cast iron looking base, chairs match except they have a light beige cushion that is attached. They are all stained and looking a mess. What can I do to give them a makeover? I would like the cushions to either be all black or maybe red or orange. How do i go about this? Any artistic crafty ideas?

I used to own one of these chairs, but I can’t remember the name. The chair consits of three parts, a pedastool, a dome, and a cushion. The pedastool sits on the ground and supports a large upside down dome. Inside the dome rests a large circular cushion that reaches to the edges of the dome where you sit. Normally the pedastool and the dome are made out of whicker. Thanks!

i know, it sounds like a dumb question, but my chair for example is a huge fluffy t-cushion chair so if a slipcover says that it fits chairs up to 43 inches wide, does that mean the cushion has to be less than 43", from arm to arm has to be less than 48", the back has to be less than 48" or what? i’m completely confused.
oh my gosh! i don’t know why in the last two i said 48" i meant 43"

I am wanting to be a kindergarten teacher or elementary teacher soon and I have rocking chair at home. Sometimes I feel that the chair is not too comfortable without a cushion. I want to ask kindergarten teachers who have added on a seat cushion to their chair for some advice. What chair do you have an added a cushion on? How long does the cushion usually last? Would you recommend getting a cushion that is filled with polyester and/or cotton or one that has foam in it? Is it important to pick a certain color/pattern for the cushion? Does the cushion get flat or dirty easily? Will the added on cushion cause problems such as arguments or fights between students? I am assuming that the school will also provide a couple of chairs for the teacher. Some chairs that do have a cushion will not be a good one. Do you also have a chair in the classroom that you added a cushion on top of the cushion that already came with the chair?

I have rustic dark teak dining table & carved teak chairs with tufted silk cushions. Cushion colors are solid muted jewel colors. 2 purple/2 sagey green & 2 merlot.A sisal rug under table with sage green border. In living room there is a carved indonesian teak buffet table that has muted green, purple & red accents & a giant armoire dark teak with some carving on door. Sofa is neutral cream soft "burlap" texture. Solid Colored throw pillows of rusty orange/armygreen/muted red. Basically I feel like there is a lot of color & texture in furnishings. I need wall colors (& ceiling–only 8 ft) to tie everything together & emphasize the world furnishings. sort of morocco meets thailand & india. Ideas? I love greens/purples.
