My wife uses a air cushion on her wheelchair (ROHO). Anyone know of a really strong cover for the cushions?

We need to cat-proof it. We have several cats, all of which have their claws.
Just to clarify, I have surfed the net and found several productions. However, none of them specify that they can stand up to cat claws. I am looking for reccomendations from people that have experience with this.

I think my cats have fleas, should I take them to the vet or treat them myself??

I think my cats have fleas. I think I found one last night on my sofa cushion but not too sure if it was one as I’ve never seen one before. I also had a few bites on my on skin, a few on my tummy, a few on my upper arm, on my back and one on my foot and one on my ankle although they could just be midge bites from out running. I’m in the process of washing all cats bedding, sofa cushion covers ( where one of them sleep) and my bedding as one sometimes sleeps on my bed. Should I just buy a flea spray or should I consult my vet ( this could be expensive) The cats aren’t overly scratching or anything. Only genuine answers please!

Help! Stains on furniture?

I have cats/dogs. It rained a lot last night and they tracked in mud or something and its allll over my cushions of my couch. What is the best way to clean and dry it without it causing problems with the foam/fluffy white packing inside?

I need more of a home remedy then something I’ve got to go out and spend a lot of money on. Can someone help?

How to get cat urine out of my expensive leather couch?

I have a 2 piece, L-shaped leather couch. I moved into my friends house a few months ago where she has 2 cats, approx age 7-10 for both, and one of them we know has decided to make my couch into her personal urinal. The other cat we’re not sure. I have no pets so no other pet smell would have been on the couch. I think they’re just cranky and old. If anyone has any cat temperament tips, I am open. It’s just weird because a new rooomie is nothing new to them.

Anyway, we called the useless upholstery guy and he basically poured some stuff onto and into the couch (in the crevice where its actual fabric and foam and it smells the worst) and it did nothing. So we took the under side cover off and are cleaning it from the inside out. We bough some pet-smell/urine remover in the economy size and planned on renting some kind of steam cleaner machine to try and get it our ourselves. I need this ready before Dec. 13th when we are hosting an X-mas party and I need something that will work!!

I have access to the whole inside of the couch from underneath so I am able to penetrate the foam cushioning with whatever machine I end up using. And once it’s cleaned it getting covered in plastic asap. Any tips are appreciated, this is SOOOOOOOO frustrating!!!

Cat urine stains on my microfiber couch and carpet?

I moved into this townhouse over 2 years ago and the previous owners dog peed all over the basement. I have 2 cats and one of them or both have decided to pee on my microfiber couch and the carpet. I’ve cleaned the couch 100’s of times and they still pee on it. I even took the foam cushions out cleaned them and wrapped them in plastic garbage bags before I put them back in the couch. I’ve went over everything with a black light and I don’t see any stains but the urine smell is still there. My boyfriend is trying to force me to get rid of the cats and is even threatening to throw them outside when I’m not home. My 2 cats are 9 and 6 years old so no way am I getting rid of them. Both have been to the vet and nothing is wrong with them. Someone help!!!! What do I do?

where do we go from here? ?

we got 2 kittens from a rescue a couple of months ago. I have never had cats before and up to now its been a nightmare to say the least. my husband has had cats since childhood but has never had any as bad as this before.

they have a total of 3 litter trays, in the same place they have always been, they also have four scratching posts.

when we got them we were told they were litter trained, don’t get me wrong, they do use the tray when they want to!

its now at the point where we are coming down in the morning and there will be excretment everywhere, yesterday there tray was clean but i could smell something, looked around and there was excretment all behind the TV cabinet, four of them, over the walls and scurting boards, and they had managed to knock the TV remotes of the stand and they were covered in it too.

that is just one of a long list, maybe i should tell you about last week, when i sat on the settee and it was all over the seat under a cushion too.

they seem to do it as and where they please.

i have cleaned all areas over and over again, yet they still do it anyway. not only excretment, but also pee as well.

we got a new couch 7 months ago which was pretty expensive, that is now completly ruined. they have used it as a scratchy post it seems, theres shreds of it on the floor every morning (im not exagerating when i say it looks like we have used a chainsaw on it, full of holes, scratches and bites) and also the curtains are ruined.

we decided to put them in a different room, same thing happens, they soil it, pee all over, and scratch the doors, walls, carpets etc until they are ruined.

we are running out of places to keep them, but in 2 months they have destroyed 2 rooms and almost everything in them.

does anyone have any ideas on where we go from here? they are just over three months old and have had their injections. im lost on what to do.

Looking for information about Siberian Huskies.?

I’m thinking about buying a Siberian Husky puppy. I was wondering if anyone had some first-hand experience about them. We have a fairly large, fenced-in backyard, and also take our dogs to the off-leash area of the local park regularly to play with other dogs.
Right now we have 2 dogs: a 6 month old Great Dane, and a 10-year-old Shih Tzu/Poodle mix. Both are female. We also have 2 cats. Our Shih Tzu/Poodle prefers playing with our cats (since they are similar in size) and our poor Great Dane is often left with no one to play with. I am looking to get a male Siberian Husky puppy, in hopes that he will enjoy playing with our Great Dane. Our Great Dane usually prefers to wrestle. Can I expect the Husky to wrestle with her? (of course, not RIGHT away, but once he matures a bit and gets a bit larger :P )
Should I expect problems if I were to take the Husky to the dog park to play with other dogs?
How "needy" are Huskies? I have heard that they are generally more independent than your average dog. Personally, I’d prefer a dog that wants to be around me often.
How hard is it to train a Husky to do basic commands? (i.e. Sit, Stay, Come when called, Fetch, etc.)
How do Huskies like water?
I live around St. Louis, Missouri. We generally have pretty cold winters and pretty hot summers. Will there be problems in the summers? We don’t normally leave our dogs outside for long periods of time, especially when it is very hot, however the heat is unavoidable if I decide to take him to the dog park during the summer.
If I did need to leave him outside for an extended period, assuming it wasn’t dangerously hot, would a small pool for him to jump in and cool off be sufficient? We also have trees and an umbrella on our patio he could use for shade.
If I did leave him outside for a few hours, should I expect him to start digging? If so, would he be less likely to dig if I left him outside with our Great Dane?
Roughly how much should I expect to pay for him? I live around St. Louis, Missouri, if prices vary by region.
Sorry for asking so many questions, but I do appreciate if you read all that and can provide some answers. It tends to be difficult to find answers to these very specific, practical questions.
Thanks in advance!

How do we eliminate cat urine odor from furniture, cushions and rugs please?

My cats go wee wee on ribber back rugs, cushions , couches, chairs…we have three cats. It’s horrible. We can’t have any furniture. We’ve tried products like they advertize on tv and from the vet, nothing works. We put cat on paxil to mellow him out. some minor success, but an angry zombified cat was not fun to deal with.
