My landlord gave me 30 days notice to move…month to month lease….ex doesn’t pays the least he can of his child support obligation…social services denied me any help…said I have to give 72 hours eviction notice from the court.. I can’t do this anymore…I need help. Why isn’t there any affordable housing on the island and why do people have to be so mean and greedy when the economy is the way it is. I was willing to give my entire pay check to them every other week and they too said no. They are concerned about having to pay for all the luxuries they need….bbq, patio furniture…swing set…etc…..How can people be so heartless….I NEED HELP and I don’t know where to go….

I put a pond in a few months ago and ever since Ive lost tons of money in fish and plants, not to mention how hard the upkeep has been on my pond because of raccoons. Just last night I lost one 8" beautiful koi and one 6" butterfly! Ive had it. Ive tried all the home remedies.. cayenne pepper, ammonia and now Ive decided to fence off the area where I think they are coming in from. Since I rent I want to spend as little as possible since Im about 0 in with this pond as it is.

I had put up a 3 foot fence near some stairs because of my 2 year old but now would like to fence off a 20′ section to try and keep them out. Any ideas on how high I should make it? I know the best would be maybe 5′ or so but I would like to keep costs down. Does anyone know if they can climb over a 3 or 4′ fence? I will be planting rose bushes along the back of it (I am moving them from another area of my yard) because Ive read they hate thorny plants.

Any other ideas would be great. I cant use a scarecrow because of the size of my yard and location of my patio furniture. Im sick of these little shi*ts and am about a day away from figuring out how to kill them… unfortunately I am an animal lover even if they are eating my fish as midnight snacks. Id be happy to add a link for photos if that might make it easier to tell. Once they are over the fence it could be a total of 7 feet or so to fall (because of a wall the fence will be over) so Im hoping that might deter them too.

On our patio umbrella. There are about 10 different clusters of them spread around.

Anybody have any idea of what they are? I don’t think they are fly eggs or spider eggs.

My main purpose in life is to inform people about the wonder of Praying Mantids (and other insects). I’ve decided to take this time to write down basic information on almost everything you need to know about this magnificent insect. Enjoy! And please no mean comments.

There are about 2,400 species of Mantids worldwide. Only 20 species live in North America. They can be found on trees, in tall grass, flowers, on patio furniture, cars, outside walls, or just about any where. Their diet consists of Crickets, butterflies, beetles, moths, grasshoppers, small rodents, small birds, small frogs, lizards, cicadas, and even other mantids. In most species, the female is bigger than the male. The most common species that can be found near the east coast are the Chinese Mantis, European Mantis, and the Carolina Mantis. The Chinese Mantis can grow to be 4 inches long. One way to tell if it’s a Chinese Mantis is if it’s all brown and has a green pinstripe on each side of the wings. Males tend to be aggressive. The European Mantis is small and can be all brown or green. The egg sack all mantids lay is called an Ootheca. It can contain up to 200 little nymphs. If you keep a mantid as a pet in the Unided States, they don’t need humidity or any special temputure setting. Although they prefer 70 to 80 degrees. I believe each mantid has it’s own personallity. Most Females tend to be more mellow than males. I’ve had some female Chinese mantids that can be hand fed crickets from Petsmart! I have been with my boyfriend for over a year and a half.We just had our first child together on christmas eve.And since then its like """OO i want this "" and he buys it,But then i ask to get somthing and its "lets see what the next pay check puts us at."
well ive been ok with that until Now

we just recieved money from taxes like most have,,,He asks"Is there any thing you want since we have more then what we thought we were going to get"..I asked for a tattoo,patio furniture,or a lap top.Telling him id like the tattoo or lap top more then anything.Well to cut is short he said that basically they were stupid things i shouldnt want……This is where it pisses me off.We walk into Best Buy ..He says "Im looking to get a PS3,XBox360 and a home theater ..well they were out of Ps3s and since they didnt have those he wanted to check other stores..But he did get him GI Joe all seasons,Transformers all seasons, and Dragon Ball 2nd season..
And i get a 8 dollar Cd….Because my wishes are stupid apperently.

But im just stressing out soo much that its making me cry and build up alot of anger that is going to make me leave him ..AND I DONT WANT THAT. please if anyone has any idea what i should do please help me;.
Too add to- Someone said this one time he is acted like this.No this is continuious. I could deal with it before the baby was born but it has just gotten worse.And to the other who said I F’d up because we met on WOW…Nah i know 5 couples in real life that are now married because of that game

My brother in law lost his house last year in November. He had to go rent an apartment. He has a husky dog. He cant take it to his apartment because its a big dog. So he left it at our house, At first it was okay with me, Even though i have 2 small children i felt bad about what they were going through loosing their house and all. But now i cant take it anymore. He bits everything he destroys everything. We had some patio furniture he chewed it all up. My breaks the kids toys. The kids cant go to the backyard because he pushes them and the worst thing is that my son left the door open one day and he ate our two birds. Its just hard. I don’t know what to do. My husband doesn’t know what to do either because his brother doesn’t have a place to take this dog. But he doesn’t say how long we are going to keep it either. Plus its expensive to have a pet. On saturday he went inside the house and he pee on my daughters teddy bear its a big teddy bear. So i took it outside and washed it really wall and i hung it very high on the tree. But it was very windy all night so it might have fallen the thing is that he ruined it. All the cotton was all over our backyard. My daughter doesn’t want that dog there anymore….

My bulldogge louise is a little less than 6 months old, and she regularly poops in her kennel every night. She has come back positive with worms, and we’ve given her the proper medication religiously. The doctors are stumped as to what to do next because it has literally become a routine for her to poop in her kennel (sometimes diarrhea sometimes more firm never solid). We’ve tried moving her kennel into my bedroom so it would end her separation anxiety – that did nothing. We’ve tried putting her in a smaller kennel (it was something the doctor suggested) and still no improvement. We’ve tried making her a home outside but that doesn’t work because she destroys our patio furniture. We’ve also tried switching her to a prescription bland diet and that as no effect on her whatsoever. My family and I are at our wits end and with me going back to college in a week (she was supposed to come with me) and my parents want me to give her away. Is there anything I can do to help her? and if not do you know of any good non-kill shelters in Virginia.
We have not tried an exclusion diet yet but we have changed diets to a bland prescription diet as per the vets request. I’ll try the exclusion diet tonight.
As for the crate – the answer is yes. We have put her in a small crate that was just big enough to hold her and she still pooped continuously and laid in it without problem.

I live across the street from a school. The house originally belonged to my mother, and she kept an open path through the bushes in the backyard so children could pass through. This is because our backyard connects directly with an apartment complex, and without that pass the students would have to walk several blocks to reach the road the complex is actually on.

For the past few years the children have become an increasing nuisance. They linger in my yard for too long, and think my patio furniture is their private sitting area. There has also been vandalism to the side of my home, and last year I even caught two boys trying to pelt my cat with rocks. I talked to the school and asked them to advise students not to walk through my yard, but they insisted it wasn’t their issue. I put up a sign out front saying my yard was private property, but it was torn down. The town won’t permit me to put up a fence, and I know that if I plant hedges the children will just destroy them.

All my family ever wanted to do was make life easier for these kids, but they’ve spat on us for it. So what can I do?
As said I can’t put up a fence. Apparently we have some local law about no fenced properties facing a school zone. It’s messed up.

My husband came home and found a set of keys on the table on our back porch. We live in a bad neighborhood. The keys have a pink coiled lanyard, an old car key, and two Looney-Toons themes copied keys; not really threatening, but a part of me wants to turn them over to the cops so they can find out what this person was doing so close to my back door while I was home alone. The keys have a KMart discount card, so I could easily take them to the local Kmart and have them contact the person they have on file, but then I’d not find out who they were or why they were in my backyard.
What would you do?
