Can I put my couch cushions in the wash machine?
I realize I can’t put them in a washer with an "agitator", but can I put them in a washer without one? I spilled some milk on my couch and surface washing just isn’t working…it smells. Yuck. Thanks.
I take my comforter to the laundry mat because it doesn’t fit in my washer. The laundry mat has these Deluxe Load washers that would easily fit my coushins.
Wow, they DO unzip! Thanks!!

No… a cushion would be way too big to fit properly. You’ll break your washer.

Absolutely not, when foam gets wet it begins to break down. You can wash the covers, but not the foam itself. You can check around and see if you can buy new foam at a craft store or something.

Maybe you can dry clean the fabric, water usually shrinks the fabric…dry cleaning might as well, but there’s less chance. Replace the foam. Craft stores (sometimes) or upholstery stores will have the foam.

You shouldn’t. The only reason they have zippers is to make construction easier. If you wash the covers they will shrink, or fade, or both.

Can you take the cover off and wash it? Then just spray the actual cushion part with Febreeze? If not, I would take it to a dry cleaner and see if they can help.
